Emmys 2019 red carpet: The best in fashion from Indya Moore, Emilia Clarke, and Zendaya to Rachel Brosnahan

While some color blocking dominated the gowns, we did see some great prints and luxe detailing. There was also some serious, very serious skin.
UPDATED SEP 23, 2019

The purple carpet at the Emmy's this year is white-hot and for good reason. It appears as though the stars that walked it with one thing and only one thing in mind - to slay us all.

While some color-blocking dominated the gowns, we did see some great prints and luxe detailing. There was also some serious, very serious skin. Here are the best looks from the 71st Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on September 22 in Los Angeles, California.

1. Halsey

Halsey can mean well but go horribly wrong sometimes, but there's not one thing that is unpleasant about this ombre-pink off-shoulder number. The detailing at the bottom of the dress is gorgeous and the accessories perfectly compliment the purple carpet vibes. We could get used to this.

2. Rachel Brosnahan

'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' star left us star-struck in this sequinned midnight blue Ellie Saab creation. The futuristic yet elegant neckline along with the thigh-high slit makes this dress so hard to look away from. Total stunner!

3. Lilly Singh

Generally, one doesn't expect newly christened talk show host Lilly Sigh to show up at a red carpet looking like she may just have come from tea but here we are. Singh, who is usually seen in some rad sneakers and a bomber, stunned in this satin green one-shoulder gown. While that's all well and good, the real MVP of this look is the winged liner and micro fringe combo. So much to look forward to from Lilly's new phase.

4. Lena Headey

Lena Heady picked up a floral peplum style, full-sleeved dress for the carpet and on anyone else, this dress would have screamed "picnic bitch" but perhaps its the Cersei Lannister smirk that makes this insanely sexy. The top knot, the tiny drop earrings, and the black bow add some interesting elements to the look too.

5. Zendaya

Zendaya's Tommy Hilfiger collaboration is amazing but girl, nothing comes close to this green number. This sheer corset dress has slayed us, watched us bleed and buried us. The old Hollywood glam of the red waves is unmissable and so is the steep slit down her thigh. This is euphoric for sure.

6. Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore doesn't make mistakes when it comes to red carpets and this off the shoulder Brandon Maxwell outfit with a pink ruched V-neck top and red skirt with thigh-high slit is another addition to that incredibly long list.

7. Milo Ventimiglia

Milo Ventimiglia breezed onto the biggest TV award show of the year in a  gray velvet Brunello Cucinelli tux with black lapel, black pants and a pair of shiny black dress shoes. It's not the most adventurous look, but it's a classic that never goes out of style.

8. Emilia Clarke

The mother of dragons rocked a blue Valentino outfit with a plunging neckline and sash detailing at the waist. The heavy drop earrings balance out the wide neckline and she perfectly compliments it with hair sleeked out behind her ears.

9. Indya Moore

Indya Moore killed it at the carpet in this risqué custom white Louis Vuitton. From the daring thigh-high slits to that corset top, Moore pushed some beauty boundaries on Sunday, while looking like a total Greek goddess.

10. Laverne Cox

She is never average and she never disappoints. As usual, Laverne Cox went all out in a one-shoulder dress adorned with a tulle (lots of tulles) skirt but the real diamond on this look was the rainbow-colored Edie Parker clutch. It had "Oct. 8 Title VII Supreme Court" embossed on it to raise awareness about the Trump administration's demand to the Supreme Court to make it legal to fire workers just because they are LGBTQ.
