Who is Emma Louise Cope? Drunk mom-of-two punches Uber driver in head for refusing to stay the night with her
An intoxicated mother-of-two from Queensland, Australia, has punched an Uber driver in the head after he refused to spend the night with her, according to a court hearing.
Emma Louise Cope, 42, was being taken to her Queensland home in September last year when she climbed from the back into the front seat to share her 'indecent proposal' with the Uber driver. When the man declined, Cope punched him in the head, leading him to pull over, following which he was taken to hospital.

Who is Emma Louise Cope?
Emma Louise Cope from Queensland struggles with alcohol issues and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) as a result of a childhood trauma, and has even dealt with alcohol-related offences in her past, according to the Magistrates Court. Cope has alcohol-related offences in her past and has been sentenced before for dangerously operated a vehicle and causing a four-car crash in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, reported the Daily Mail. Cope's lawyer argued that her client had been ostracised by her family and added that she had no history of 'a like nature' in asking for reduced fines.
Police prosecutor Rebecca Lambert said Cope was intoxicated when the incident happened and told police that she couldn't recall the incident. The incident occurred on September 16, 2020, near Glenview, a locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia, when Cope was riding in an Uber on the Bruce Highway, which links Brisbane to far north Queensland. The police prosecutor said it was 'good luck' that there weren't 'more severe consequences' since the duo was driving in a 110km/h zone when the assault occurred. The car experienced damages amounting to $6,335 which was paid by an insurance company.
"He was driving in a 110km/h zone, close to the roadworks area on the Bruce Highway, and in my submission it was good luck rather than good management that it hasn't resulted in more severe consequences," Lambert told Maroochydore Magistrates Court. "
The court found Cope guilty of drunken assault and sentenced her to 200 hours of community service along with $1,200 in compensation to the Uber driver in addition to the insurance payout. No conviction was recorded but the judge said the conviction would be likely if she faced court again.
