'Emma', the classic novel by Jane Austen published in 1815, has been adapted multiple times and the most iconic is the 1995 film 'Clueless', starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Paul Rudd, Dan Hedaya and Brittany Murphy.

Plot
Emma Woodhouse is one of Jane Austen's most vivid characters. 'Emma' will follow the "handsome, clever and rich" woman as she meddles in the romantic affairs of her friends and loved ones.
Although convinced that she herself will never marry, Emma, a precocious 20-year-old resident of the village of Highbury, imagines herself to be naturally gifted in conjuring love matches. After self-declared success at matchmaking between her governess and Mr Weston, a village widower, Emma takes it upon herself to find an eligible match for her new friend, Harriet Smith.
