Who is Emily Hernandez? Woman posing with Pelosi's nameplate during Capitol riots charged, yet to be arrested
A Missouri woman, identified by tipsters as Emily Hernandez, has been charged with "unlawful entry, engaging in disorderly conduct at the Capitol, and stealing a piece of federal property," according to a federal complaint. She has not been arrested as of Saturday afternoon. The woman has been charged after being accused of being the one seen posing with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's nameplate during the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. According to reports, Hernandez was identified with the help of tipsters who saw her on a video broadcast by ITV News, according to a statement by the FBI on Friday.
What was Hernandez doing?
A Fox News report said that the FBI was sent a photo by a tipster, allegedly taken from Hernandez's Facebook page which shows her inside the Capitol, along with another tipster sending a photo from the accused's Snapchat that see her "beneath the Capitol dome." While Hernandez has not been arrested, according to the FBI, it will approximately cost $870 to "replace" Pelosi's sign.
Many people have been charged when it comes to the Capitol riots, with "over 300" open cases. It was reported that the FBI has also recived "more than 140,000 digital tips from the public as of Friday", according to the assistant director-in-charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, Steven D'Antuano. With the help of the tipsters, Hernandez, from Sullivan, Missouri, was identified as the woman in the videos and photos who was holding Pelosi’s sign inside the Capitol during the riot. Authoriries have also said that "more than 120" people have been arrested since the riots that caused five fatalaties.
Images of the video circulated online triggering much outrage. One user wrote, "Emily Hernandez, 20, from Sullivan in Franklin County Missouri. She took a splintered name plate belonging to House @SpeakerPelosi during the riot at the U.S. Capitol" with two pictures of a woman who he identidied as Hernandez. Another added a picture of Hernandez, saying, "Missouri woman holding splintered Pelosi sign charged in riot. Emily Hernandez was charged with with five counts, including disorderly conduct that impedes the conduct of government business and the stealing or disposing of government property. She hasn’t been arrested yet."

People even called for action, with one user writing, "Thanks, Donald. That means terrorists like Emily Hernandez and the others who vandalized the US Capitol should face a minimum of a decade in prison. Not what you had in mind?" The tweet had a screenshot of President Trump's tweet that read, "Anarchists, Agitators or Protestors who vandazlie or damage our Federal Courthouse in Portland, or any Federal Buildings in any of our Citires or States, will be prosecuted under out recently re-enatcted Statues & Monuments Act. MINIMUM TEN YEARS IN PRISON. Don't do it! @DHSgov"

At least three tipsters identified Hernandez to the FBI as the woman seen in videos and photos holding Pelosi’s wooden sign inside the Capitol on January 6, according to a criminal complaint. The accused is seen with other Trump supporters wearing sunglasses along with a gray hat as she carries the nameplate.
