The new semester at Las Encinas brings with it new love triangles, new students, new rules, and a new unexplained murder. The new season appears to pick up where the last one left off.

To refresh your memory, Armando was killed by Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) at Phillipe's New Year's Eve celebration. Rebe (Claudia Salas) and Samuel (Itzan Escamilla) helped cover up the murder by throwing his body in a river. In the season four finale, Guzmán decides to leave Spain and travel the world with his best friend Ander (Aron Piper). The high school gang seems to be in severe trouble now that Guzmán has disappeared and an unidentified body has been discovered.

'Elite' Season 3: The Spanish teen drama matures as the kids finally take control of their lives

The series begins with suspense as Samuel confesses to the police that he is the one who killed someone. Las Encinas is now all about discipline, excellence, and achievement as the new season begins. Principal Benjamin (Diego Martin) also institutes new stringent regulations at school, including strict punctuality, no phones, no internet, physical distance must be maintained at all times, and no group of more than three persons.

In Season 5 of 'Elite', new characters are introduced. These characters are both consolidating their roles as significant figures for the old characters in the three episodes that were provided for review. Ivan (André Lamoglia), the new boy, is the son of the world's most famous footballer. And it looks like Ivan will cause some conflict among the Commerford siblings. Isadora (Valentina Zenere) is the new empress. Last but not least, we have Bilal (Nourou Adam), a mysterious young man that no one expects to see. With the blend of the new faces and old ones at Las Encinas, this season is filled with suspense, investigation, mysteries, love triangles, and yes, hook ups too!

Patrick and Ivan in ‘Elite’ Season 5 (Netflix)

With yet another investigation, 'Elite' appears to be repeating its own storyline in order to move the series along. Whether it does that successfully or not, will depend on how the show is presented. There are, of course, new issues to contend with. Prince Phillipe and janitor Cayetana will make an effort to repair their relationship, but it appears that they are damaging it even more. The new season will introduce some fresh love equations, but in terms of the previous ones, we will finally see Samuel and Ari in a relationship, however, this time Samuel is more serious about everything and Ari is all about having fun. In addition, Ari's twin Patrick (Manu Rios) is seen hooking up with Omar (Omar Ayuso), but later on, a new boy named Ivan catches Patrick's eye, but Ivan is all about Ari. Mencia (Martina Cariddi), the last of the Commerford siblings, and Rebeca will try to play with each other's feelings, but they both want to be together. You'll also see that Samuel and Omar's long friendship will ultimately come to an end.

This season is regarding the truth about Armando's death, which needs to be revealed in front of everyone. We'll also see Benjamin attempting to connect with his children. As I already stated, there will be a lot of drama and sex in the group and none of students seem to keep their hands to themselves. Overall, I believe this season is worth watching since it has everything, from intriguing murder mysteries to love triangles.

‘Elite’ Season 5 is now streaming on Netflix.
