Who is Matthew Manda?

Matthew Manda, most commonly recognized as the loving and supportive husband to Elise Stefanik, is often spotted by her side at important political events. However, little known to many, Manda himself had worked at Capitol Hill at one point. His association with the Republican Party has been quite long.

Stefanik and Manda first met each other in 2012 at a party hosted by the former. He was serving as the communications director for Kansas Republican Rep Kevin Yoder at that time, while Stefanik was involved with Paul Ryan's vice-presidential campaign. Prior to that, Manda had worked as Senator Jerry Moran's political director during the 2010 elections. Presently, Manda works as a marketing and communications director at the media firm Strategic Communications in New York.

Stefanik and Manda dated for five years before tying the knot. According to The Sun, Manda proposed to her in 2016 during a couple's trip to Lake Placid in Upstate New York. He reportedly tied the ring in floss while popping the question.

“I don’t remember every word I said — but I know she said ‘yes’ and that’s all that matters to me. Luckiest guy in the world," Manda wrote in his Instagram post about the proposal.

The couple got married a year later on August 19, 2017, at the Hall of Springs reflecting pool in Saratoga Springs, New York. They went to Italy for their honeymoon. They now reside together at their home in Schuylerville, New York, while Manda splits his time between New York and Washington, DC.

In one of his Instagram posts, Manda lauded his wife and called her the 'hardest worker'.
