MID-AIR COLLISON: Elderly woman ‘urinated over seats’, slapped flight attendant after he took her drink away
MUNICH, GERMANY: A flight from Manchester to Rhodes was forced to divert to Munich in Germany after an elderly woman created a ruckus mid-flight. The woman, believed to be in her 70’s slapped a male steward from a Jet2 flight after he allegedly took her gin and tonic away from her.
According to The Daily Mail, the woman, who has not been named, was later escorted off the flight by the cops. The raging pensioner got irritated after her request for free champagne got rejected. In the video surfaced, the woman’s arms flap aggressively as a steward is seen holding them down.

Elderly woman slaps male steward
According to a video shared by Deadline News, the steward sits next to the woman after he tries to calm her down but she soon hits him across the face. The woman then hits her head as she stands up, before hitting the man in the face twice. The incident took place after the cabin crew took the drink away from her after she became increasingly aggressive.
In the clip, according to The Daily Mail, another male staff is seen helping restrain the old lady who falls back into her seat before the video ends. As per the publication, a passenger dished out a few details on the incident but wished to remain anonymous. The passenger claimed the elderly woman also urinated in her seat before being escorted by nine police officers.
‘She urinated over three seats’
The anonymous passenger shared, “A woman on the flight repeatedly asked the flight attendants for free champagne. The flight attendant told the woman that wasn't part of the service and she bought a gin and tonic in the end” adding, “She began to get aggressive so the flight attendant removed her drink.”
The passenger further shared, “She started swearing and having violent outbursts. At one point she got up and tried to open the cabin door mid-flight” adding, “At this point she was sat back down with two male passengers trying to hold her down as she was punching people.” The passenger said, “She urinated over three seats and repeatedly had bursts of violent episodes until we had to make an emergency landing in Munich.”
According to The Daily Mail, a Jet2 spokesperson too shed light on the incident condemning the elderly woman’s behavior. “We can confirm that flight LS819 from Manchester to Rhodes was diverted to Munich Airport yesterday so that a disruptive passenger could be offloaded” said the spokesperson adding, “We would like to apologise to customers for this unforeseen delay and any inconvenience caused.”
The spokesperson continued, “The health and safety of our colleagues and customers remain our number one priority and, as a family-friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive behavior.” The spokesperson concluded, “We will not hesitate to vigorously pursue any costs incurred as a result of this diversion.”
