The series opens as we see Miguel (Juan Minujín) get captured while fleeing with Emma (Martina Gusmán) and the kids. His time in prison sees him traumatized by torture and try to attempt suicide as well. But time hardens him and he learns to cope and settles into prison life. Season 4 also sees him getting reunited with his enemies -- the Borges brothers Mario (Claudio Rissi) and Diosito (Nicolás Furtado), after they are transferred there. Puento Viejo prison has Coco (Luis Luque) as the strongest prisoner and who works for the director of the prison. The Borges brothers get in the good books of Coco which angers Cesar (Abel Ayala) and his gang who are bent on revenge after the Borges killed many of their members. Meanwhile, cracks in Miguels and Emma's relationship appear but when Brian (Ignacio Quesada) finds out about a secret forgotten tunnel under the prison, a plan to escape is born. Diosito finds out as well and joins the two after getting sick of getting bossed around.

Events occur that turn Mario and Coco against each other resulting in bloodshed between the two gangs. Diosito also finds out the secret behind his birth and learns that Mario is his father and not his brother, leading him to question his whole life. While this happens, he and Miguel dig the tunnel alone after Brian backs out. Season 4 also saw the return of Silvia (Julieta Zylberberg), who wants her child back and follows Emma when she drives off with the kids to the rendevous point where Miguel will arrive.

What happens at the end of Season 4?

Diosito and Miguel successfully escape to the outside world where they go their separate ways. Silvia who fears his son is being taken away by Emma calls Director Antin (Gerardo Romano) for help who sends the police. But she impatiently takes away her son after stabbing Emma and returns to her car. Meanwhile, Diosito runs free and we see Mario in prison reading his letter which tells him that he was his idol but is now dead to him, leaving him to rot in prison. At the same time, Miguel finds Emma bleeding when the police arrive and capture him. As she lies dying, Miguel is seen struggling and being arrested again. Antin and Silvia look on from a distance as the events unfold.

Will Miguel be back in the hell hole he so painstakingly escaped from? The final moments indicate so, as everything in his life falls apart.
