Who is Dylan O'Connor? Stanford pediatrician who sent porn to minor girl and set up sex date arrested in sting op
PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA: Redwood City police department arrested a 33-year-old pediatrician on Tuesday, February 9, on suspicion of attempted lewd acts with a minor. He worked at Stanford Health’s Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto.
Dr Dylan O’Connor was arrested in the 1800 block of El Camino Real in Redwood City and was charged for sending explicit material to a juvenile, and traveling to meet a minor for lewd purposes, which are both felonies, police said. The state medical board’s website showed no record of complaints or administrative actions against him. Investigators said in a news release that they had received a tip from San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit about a possible sex crime involving a juvenile in their city. While monitoring their suspect, police said that they found he had sent “personal photographs of a pornographic nature".

The police department stated that their investigation revealed: “An adult male was attempting to lure a self-declared underage female to a designated location with the intent to engage in sexual activity with her.” Instead, officers were waiting at the meeting spot on February 5, and O’Connor was arrested without incident, according to the press release.
According to a CBS Local Report, Redwood City, working with departments in San Jose and Hillsborough and the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office Inspector’s Unit, served a search warrant at O’Connor’s house and seized electronic devices both for the case concerning the minor and to identify other possible victims, police said.
Senior director of external communications for Stanford Health Care, Julie Greicius, said on Tuesday evening that the school had placed O’Connor on unpaid leave and has released him of all the duties as soon as it learned of the arrest. “These are serious criminal charges, which we understand are still under investigation by law enforcement, so we are unable to comment further at this time,” she added.
It is not clear if O’Connor is married. Public records show his address as a three-bedroom house in Redwood City worth around $2M.
Police said they were searching for anyone with additional information or any possible new victims. Those with information can call Redwood City Police Detective Sergeant Nick Perna at (650) 780-7672, or contact Bay Area Crime Stoppers at 1-(800) 222-8477 if they prefer to remain anonymous.
