In 2013, a young Georgia model had driven to Las Vegas for a weekend trip. Ryan Singleton was just 24 when he was picked up by the California Highway Patrol in Death Valley as he drove back to Los Angeles and his car broke down. He was dropped off at a gas station in Baker, California. His friend drove from Los Angeles to the gas station to pick him up but when he arrived, Singleton was nowhere to be found.

Singleton's friend filed a missing person report when he returned to Los Angeles. It was only 74 days after he disappeared that Singleton's body was found about two miles from the gas station. An autopsy lists the cause of death as undetermined due to advanced decomposition. The body was missing several organs, including his liver, eyes, and heart, as well as some of his ribs. No one has ever been charged in Ryan's death. Singleton's life and death is the subject of Bounce's first-ever docuseries called 'Dying To Be Famous: The Ryan Singleton Mystery'. The six-part docuseries premieres on November 1 and features interviews of Singleton's mother, Iris Flowers, and his friends, with whom he had initially moved to New York and subsequently Los Angeles. Singleton and his friends were ardent fans of the TV show, 'Entourage', and called themselves the "Black Entourage". They moved to Los Angeles with the dream of becoming stars.

However, Singleton began to grow distant from his friends after the group worked on a movie called 'Black November'. The opportunity came to them by way of a celebrity stylist, Kithe Brewster, who is known for his work with 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'. According to Singleton's friends who spoke in the docuseries, Brewster used 'Black November' to manipulate Singleton into leaving his friends — which he did eventually when he chose to stay behind in New York after working on Fashion Week for Brewster with his friends. His friends traveled back to Los Angeles.

It was then that Singleton's personal life became murky. According to his friends, while Singleton had never given any indication he was gay, but they knew that he would do what needed to be done. When Flowers came across a picture on social media of her son's wedding, Singleton's friends and family were all confused — he had gotten married to Brewster, who was twice his age. Photos of the wedding were posted by 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star, Cynthia Bailey, who is reportedly very close to Brewster, even having walked the runway for New York Fashion Week, one year after Singleton was found dead.

However, it was clear that there were things wrong with the picture. Singleton would call his friends to talk about the difficult time he was having during his marriage. He also once called his mother to tell them that he could not take it anymore, referring to his marriage to Brewster. When Singleton went back to Atlanta to his mother with Brewster for Easter, he decided to leave Brewster and stay back in Atlanta. While Singleton was working on himself, it would seem that he had not entirely cut Brewster out of his life. On the day that he disappeared, Brewster called Flowers to tell her that Singleton had called him and that he had heard laughter in the background. However, Brewster felt that Singleton could be in danger. That was the last time anyone heard of Singleton before his body was found in the desert.

'Dying To Be Famous: The Ryan Singleton Mystery' will premiere on Bounce on Sunday, November 1, at 9/8c.
