He and his pro-dancer partner Jenna Johnson, the pair also known as #TeamBeNeevers put their best feet forward, week after week on the ballroom floor, often ending up at the top of the leaderboard. Stupid obsessed Bachelor Nation had nothing better to do than mass vote for bland Kaitlyn. I want to see more of Nev dancing and hope I will! #DWTS" read another tweet.

For 11 weeks, Nev and Jenna showed their dancing prowess, acing each style of ballroom dancing for which they received a perfect 30 score from all three judges: Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Derek Hough. It was seldom that they faltered in the competition, bouncing back stronger after they did and garnering immense praise and great critique from the judges' panel. Fans of the pair called their win from the very first time that they stepped on the dance floor. A lot of them took to Twitter every time to fiercely slam the judges and the show for robbing them of their perfect score when they received a point or two less than the coveted 30. However, the final results were not in the hands of the judges and Kaitlyn's fans came through for her, more than Nev's did, making her the winner of the show. This also marks Kaitlyn's pro-dancer partner Artem Chingvintsev's first mirrorball trophy win on the show.
Schulman received a lot of love and support from his fans but a lot of criticism as well. Fans of the show were of the opinion that even though he nailed it with his perfect technique, it majorly had to do with his dancing background. Also, a number of them also termed him boring and that his performances were just plain dancing and didn't incite excitement. A lot of them also asked for him to be eliminated from the show by bringing up his past wherein he'd punched a woman, thinking she was male at first, the details of which he's fleshed out in his book 'In Real Life: Love, Lies & Identity in the Digital Age'.
