The debut season of ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars: Juniors' aired its semifinal Sunday night and if there's one thing for sure, it was the whole episode was packed with surprises. And, one brilliant performance after the other aside; in a shockingly great turn of events, Mackenzie Ziegler emerged to be the highest scoring contestants out of the remaining four participants in the semifinals, and that is saying something, because competing against her were some of the strongest, most consistent performers in the debut season of the kids' version of the popular dance reality show.

For Sunday's night's episode, the four semi-finalists - Sky Brown, Ariana Greenblatt, Miles Brown, and Mackenzie - had to present two rounds of dances. The first was a regular couple’s dance and the second was a Dance Duo, where the couples were to split off into two teams in which the winner would accrue additional judges’ scores. For their first dance, Mackenzie and her dance-partner Sage Rosen performed a Pasodoble to “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga.
