After her spectacular performance, some fans took to social media as they are skeptical whether Shangela should be allowed on the show

'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31 for the first time has a drag queen as a participant on the show. Shangela and Gleb Savchenko appeared on September 19's premiere episode donning colorful outfits. The dance partners slayed the dance floor with their swift moves. As soon as the fiery performance ended, the audience as well as the judges cheered them. One of the judges said that Shangela was in "all command". 

After the spectacular performance, a few fans of the show took to social media as they are skeptical about whether Shangela should be allowed on the show. With Shangela being the only drag queen on the show, all the eyes are set upon her. Moreover, in the premiere episode, she was the main attention of fans watching the live show as well as the ones watching on Disney+.

Ever since it was announced that Shangela is going to be on the show, fans were astonished and cheered in excitement. However, it seems like some fans are not happy with that. After Shangela and Gleb's performance in the premiere episode, one critic took to Twitter and wrote, "Is it really fair for Shangela to be on Dancing with the Stars?" To the same, another said, "If it was fair for @alfonso_ribeiro, it's fair for Shangela @itsSHANGELA #DWTS."

Some fans supported Shangela as one said, "Watching Dancing with the Stars for the first time because the amazing @itsSHANGELA is on. I love you Shangela."

Another wrote, "You were robbed of a crown on All Stars, I’m rooting for you to get the crown." Let's hope Shangela to take home the crown this time.

A few fans are rooting for Shangela and Gleb to win. For some fans, the only reason to live stream the show was that Shangela was participating in it. One wrote, "I can’t believe I’m watching Dancing with the Stars, but that’s the power of #Shangela." Another claimed, "Watching my very first Dancing With The Stars. Because that's what I'm willing to do for Shangela."

Another fan said, "I haven't watched dancing with the stars in years but SHANGELA IS A COMPETITOR WHAT A SLAY!!"
