'Dublin Murders' Episode 6: Is Rob the father of Cassie's unborn child, or is there a supernatural being involved?

Unwanted pregnancies seem to be a running theme on the show, especially with Sandra (Carolyn Bracken) and Margaret (Kathy Monahan)

'Dublin Murders' has just three episodes left to air and we still have no answers to any of our questions — big or small.

While Katy's (Amy Macken) murder remains shrouded in mystery, Cassie (Sarah Greene) may have some luck finding more details regarding who her doppelganger Lexie was, and how she was killed.

However, this search is also expected to give us insights into what is going on with Cassie herself. The detective is successfully sussing out her new housemates while pretending to be Lexie.

The upcoming Episode 6 will also see her sniffing out exactly what is going on with the closely-knit group of students who consider each other their family.

Their affections for Lexie seem legitimate, but it soon becomes clear that there are lies, secrets, and hidden weapons that make this community more than a little suspicious in Cassie's eyes.

Cassie is also dealt with personal drama in Episode 6 thanks to the results of a pregnancy test. As we saw earlier this season, Lexi was pregnant when she was killed, and at least one of her friends know about it.

Creeped out by the coincidences that connect Lexie to her, Cassie, too, thinks about finding out if she is pregnant, but decides not to. However, in the upcoming Episode 6, we will learn that just like Lexie before her, Cassie is also pregnant.

What remains to be seen is who the father of her unborn child is. Could her one-time rendezvous with Rob (Killian Scott) have resulted in her conceiving? It would certainly make their fallout all the more dramatic.

The child could also be fathered by Cassie's ex-boyfriend Sam (Moe Dunford). However, a more interesting take on the whole thing would be the involvement of a supernatural being or the "god" of the forest, who has made Cassie as pregnant as her dead doppelganger.

Unwanted pregnancies seem to be a running theme on the show, especially with Sandra (Carolyn Bracken) and Margaret (Kathy Monahan). The pregnancies involving Sandra and Margaret certainly seem to also be integral in Rob solving Katy's murder.

There are some fan theories that suggest that Rosalind (Leah McNamara) is actually Sandra's daughter born after she was raped by Cathal (Barry O'Connor) and Jonathan (Peter McDonald).

Hopefully, the upcoming Episode 6 of 'Dublin Murders', which is expected to premiere on Sunday, December 15, will give us some answers regarding the mysteries.
