Fans of 'Dublin Murders' have all surely hoped for the good-looking detectives Rob (Killian Scott) and Cassie (Sarah Greene) to get together, and now that it has happened, most of us wish we hadn't asked for it in the first place.

Rob is increasingly proving to be a tool, and we saw this in his attitude towards Cassie right after they slept together. So far, we were able to ignore his annoying attitude because of the incredibly difficult childhood he had, but being cruel to the people closest to him is inexcusable.

This is especially true with Cassie who had just revealed to him that she found her childhood alter-ego come to life and die.

It is clear that Rob and Cassie's love story is far from over, but this will certainly create a rift in their professional life as well, with Rob making Katy's (Amy Macken) murder his primary focus, while Cassie turns her attention to the mystery of her dead doppelganger.

In the upcoming episode, we will see them breaking the news of their professional breakup officially. It remains to be seen how the rest of their squad would react.

Cassie had once pretended to be the late Lexie once, at the behest of Frank (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) and it seems like she might continue to do so. In the previously aired Episode 4 of the series, we saw the duo trying to connect the Lexie mystery with the man Cassie took down while pretending to be Lexie.

However, that turned out to be a dead-end lead, which means they are going to dive back into the investigation immediately, especially now that she can fully focus on this case.

Meanwhile, we will see Rob pressing Jonathan (Peter McDonald) and Cathal (Barry O'Connor) for answers. He will follow up on what the very physical fight they had in the middle of the night, and try to get the clues to what happened in the woods 20 years ago as well.

However, Rob's past may be catching up to him faster than he knows because Quigly (Eugene O'Hare) is trying to track Adam now, and it is only a matter of time before he finds out that young Adam has grown up to become Rob.

Watch Season 1 Episode 5 of 'Dublin Murders', which airs on Starz on Sunday, December 8.
