Drunk couple kicked off JetBlue flight for lowering masks and shoving cabin crew
The video of a "drunk couple" who refused to adhere to the mask mandate being kicked off a JetBlue flight went viral on Instagram after being uploaded on Thursday, September 9. The video was originally uploaded by Instagram user @alice.rusa who was on the flight, recording the antics of the unidentified couple who refused to cover their noses with a face covering, as is required for availing flights amidst this pandemic.
"Thanks to the crew for dealing with them really appreciate it!" the post said. "I got the pleasure of boarding the plane behind this family and this lady took a boomerang on the way to her seat, wobbling around so I figured she was a 'lil drunk, her water bottle in her bag was without a top so I told her, the flight attendant told her to fix her sons mask at the entry, which she didn't and her husband and her both had their masks on [but] off the nose the whole time." Some of the other airlines that have recently faced controversial incidents include Alaska Airlines, where a TikToker 'slut shamed' for crop top; Spirit Airlines, where ‘Karen’ started smoking a cigarette onboard, American Airlines, where a 13-year-old boy was duct-taped to his seat for trying to kick-open a window and Southwest Airlines, where a flight attendant told a Virginia mother to glue mask to two-year-old’s face.

'I waited four f**kin' hours for this flight!'
The video began at a point when the couple was apparently was told to leave. A child was seen crying as he exited the flight, while the man at the front of the plane, who presumably was the father of the child, got into an argument with the flight attendant, swearing and yelling at him. "Because I pulled it down two inches? This is what you're gonna do?" the man said in an irritated tone. The argument soon escalated to the point where it turned physical and the man appeared to shove the flight attendant.
The language turned increasingly expletive-ridden. "I waited four f**kin' hours for this flight! Do you understand that? You made me wait four god damn hours! You gave me one c******king warning! One warning! That's it! One warning!" the man screamed. "I pulled it up the second you said something! The second he said something I pulled it over my nose. F**king bullsh*t!"

As he was requested to get off the plane, he demanded that he be able to get his luggage on the plane. By this point, the woman accompanying the man, made her way toward the front of the plane and as she noticed people onboard recording her, she paused in the aisle to pull down her mask and defend herself.
"They're kicking us off and we don't know why," said the woman. "We're Americans." She claimed that the mask "fell off his face" and "we fixed it, but it wasn't good enough." She then appeared to get emotional when talking about being kicked off the plane. She then urged people to make the incident "go viral" and "we're going to sue the sh*t" out of the airline.
People began reacting to the clip of the couple's tantrums as the video went viral. "It’s the multiple almost fake crying for me," one of them said, while another noted, "Those poor children and flight attendants!!" A third wrote, "Wow. Crazy." The next remarked, "I hope you got to enjoy watching Fleabag after they left LOL."
One of them noticed the odd way that the woman seemed to be blinking toward the end of the video. "Was she blinking with one eye?" the user commented, while another quipped, "When he said give me my sh$t and the wife was on her way." A person reacted with, "Barbie and Ken are angry drunks."
