In the video, which was posted by TikToker @brooklyndegumbia, the textbox reads "JetBlue ain’t playin'".

The flight on which the TikToker was, got delayed by three hours because the woman in the video refused to wear a mask on a plane, causing her to be arrested and wheeled off the plane. The video, which was posted in late August, has now been viewed by more than 1.2 million people.

As per reports, the TikToker who shared the video was identified as Brooklyn DeGumbia, who was with Tulsa TV station Fox23 until recently. The incident happened on August 24, 2021, JetBlue flight from Palm Beach, Florida to Hartford, Connecticut. The video then showed how the woman, whose face was covered by an upside-down smiley face emoji, refused to wear the mask despite two flight attendants and a police officer standing in the aisle to appeal to her. The woman loudly says, “My daughter’s going to college” repeatedly. Then, as the other passengers had to deplane, she said, "No, no, no, listen to me."

In the comment section, many people applauded JetBlue’s actions. "This is exactly what should happen, EVERY time, without delay - on every airline," one commented. Another asked, "Why do they wait until they are on the plane to throw their tantrum? They signed up for this when buying the ticket?"

One commenter noted that while DeGumbia covered the anti-masker’s face with an emoji, in the passenger's camera, one can see her wear a mask. That commenter said, "Bro … look in the other person’s camera recording her. She has a blue disposable mask on. Y’all really chasing clout."

DeGumbia said in a following video, "When she sat her down, she had her mask down, and when the flight attendant asked her to pull it up, she said she can’t wear it cause she’s nervous and this is her first time flying alone." In the video, the flight attendant can be heard saying politely, "If you can’t wear your mask, you’re gonna have to get off the plane and we’ll find another solution." The passenger apparently agreed to that, but then, five minutes later, took her mask down, claiming she was going through menopause. DeGumbia added that the woman would pull her mask up when the flight attendant approached her and then pull it back down when she walked away.

DeGumbia also said that the whole incident went on for about 90 minutes. It started when the flight attendant first approached the passenger, then the other passengers got off the plane, medics came on to the plane to check on her, till the point that she refused to get off the plane when the flight attendant requested for her to do so. All this led to the opening scene in DeGumbia's video, in which an officer from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office escorted the woman off the plane.
