On Tuesday, June 29, Drake Bell revealed on social media that he has been secretly married to Janet Von Schmeling, the mother of his newborn son. Jared Drake Bell took to the social networking site to let his fans know of his marital status in a tweet written entirely in Spanish.
The 'Drake and Josh' star was recently in the news having been charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and attempted child endangerment. According to reports, the 35-year-old actor had improper discussions with a victim, some of which were sexual in nature. On June 3, the Cleveland Division of Police apprehended him.

The actor's ex-girlfriend from 2006 to 2009, Melissa Lingafelt had accused him of verbal and physical abuse in August last year, quoting incidents from when they dated and lived together more than a decade ago. In last month's tweet translated from Spanish, the Nickelodeon actor stated that he and his wife have been married for over three years. "In response to various rumors that are incorrect, I have been married for almost 3 years, and we are blessed to be the parents of a wonderful son. Thank you very much to all my fans around the world for your good wishes," the translated tweet read.

Who is Drake Bell's wife Janet Von Schmeling?
Janet Von Schmeling works for a PR company, the Decibel Media Group, Page Six reported. The company, on its website, claims to work with "over 3000 micro to macro influencers across all categories and platforms". Bell is one of the two clients named on its website under the 'Projects' section, the other being the Louisiana band Lip Candy.
Not much is known about Schmeling, but websites like Celebpie reported that she is also a model and actress. A search on IMDb with her name, however, returned no results. The news outlet also stated that Schmeling worked with Bell in the 2017 series 'Painting Autumn', and that she has been a producer and a photographer on a couple of projects.

Schmeling and Bell have been romantically linked since 2014, the Daily Mail reported, but Page Six pins it at 2017. This was around the same time that Bell's felony incident involving a teen girl, who is now an adult occurred. He had met the girl online and she had attended a concert of his in Cleveland in 2017.
Bell's Twitter revelation comes only one week after the star was photographed with his wife in Anaheim, California, wearing identical wedding bands. As they took turns pushing their infant son in its pram, they appeared to be adoring parents. Bell was seen with Janet and their child in Disneyland one day before he sent out the tweet, in what marked the actor's first public appearance since his legal troubles made news last month.
