'Dragnificent!': Corrine asks queens not to dress in drag for wedding, fans remind her what she signed up for
Drag queens BeBe Zahara Benet, Thorgy Thor, Jujubee and Alexis Michelle came together to bring back the confidence in Corrine, a wrestler who has confidence when she enters the ring but does not have the same once she steps outside.
Corrine revealed she needed the help of the queens to make sure she gets the confidence needed to be proud of herself on the day of her wedding.
The queens agreed to bring back the confidence that Corrine says she has lost. Corrine admitted that her self-esteem had been affected because of how she has been treated in the past. She admitted to being called "manly" and "masculine" among other things that affected the way she looked at herself.
Thanks to the queens, she was able to bring back the confidence that she thought she had lost. She even managed to find the perfect dress and have her dream proposal with the help of her friends. With everything in place, the only thing remaining was for Corrine to get ready for her big day. However, she had a request for her wedding.
Corrine revealed the wedding was going to take place at a conservative church and requested the queens to not dress in drag. They understood how important this day was for her and decided to not dress in drag for her wedding.
While the drag queens did not mind stepping away from their look, fans were not too happy about this request.
"Corrine used them for their confidence. You can’t look at other people to give you confidence, that's something you have to find in yourself. Then she had the nerve to ask them to not show up in drag but she shows up to her wrestling matches in those tacky outfits," read one comment.
Another added, "I am not sure I see the conflict with drag queens in a Catholic Church. God loves everyone. The reality is people teach each other to hate."
Some reminded her what the show was all about with one comment that read, "If you sign up for a show that centers around drag queens giving you a makeover, you should probably be prepared for them to be in drag."
Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "You signed up for a show that's hosted by drag queens to help you with your wedding but then you turn around & ask them not to come in drag to your wedding cause it’s in a church? That’s rude & her true colors just showed smh."
Will the coming episode do justice to our drag queens or leave the fans disappointed? 'Dragnificent!' airs on Mondays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
