SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: 'Love Like a K Drama' star Kim Dong Kyu faced a storm of criticism on the Internet, with users labeling him a major red flag for his behavior on the show.

The online community expressed strong disapproval, accusing Dong Kyu of treating his former connection Nozomi Bando poorly and hurting her without apparent reason.

The backlash intensified as netizens condemned him for swiftly moving on from Nozomi to Rio Yamashita, deeming it a betrayal.

Dong Kyu is also fielding accusations of unprofessionalism, particularly for his inability to maintain a romantic relationship with Nozomi during auditions, casting doubts on his capabilities as an actor.

Many declared him the least liked contestant, asserting that he didn't deserve Nozomi's affections and that his reason for choosing Rio over Nozomi, which according to him was that she can drink more soju, was downright nonsensical.

"How can he go from running to buy her flowers to completely ignoring her like??? huh????" wrote one user on X.

"Rarely disliked a contestant as much as I dislike Dong Kyu, I mean it's completely okay to change your mind in a dating show but the way he acted with Nazomi gave her the impression that he was sure of his feelings and all that changed cause Rio can drink soju?" wrote another. 

"I'm still mad at how dongkyu made nozomi go through this kind of ordeal. she deserves a whole lot better," said one user.

"Why are you there in the first place if you can’t act like in love to your co-actor? That show is not a dating show!!! I’m mad at Dong Kyu. So unprofessional. That is the least you can do for what you’ve done to Nozomi," fumed another.
