If former President Donald Trump thought that he can get away from the intense criticism that plagued his presidency throughout his first and only term in the Oval Office by moving out of Washington D.C. and into his Palm Beach resort in Florida, he was wrong. Someone paid a skywriting plane to fly over Trump's current residence with slogans targetted at the ex-POTUS.

Photos and videos emerged on Twitter, which showed a plane carrying the banner "TRUMP YOU PATHETIC LOSER GO BACK TO MOSCOW" trailing behind it as it flew over Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, January 24. Another one read, "TRUMP WORST PRESIDENT EVER."

It was not immediately clear as to who commissioned the plane as no individual has claimed responsibility for the same on social media. It was also not reported whether Trump was inside the residence when the stunt took place in the sky and whether he got a chance to bear a first-hand witness to the same.

As soon as photos and videos of the skywriting went viral, people started reacting to it. Most of the reactions came from anti-Trump Twitter users who were delighted at the stunt. "I can’t (love) this enough," one of them wrote while another said, "Love it. Hope they continue." A third commented, "Genius!" One more remarked, "Bless his heart." The next quipped, "The US version of @ByDonkeys."

A commenter tweeted, "Yes #TrumpIsTheWORSTPresidentEVER." One more wrote, "That is too funny. What a great idea!!!" Another said, "I like it! The Palm Beach set always brings the love." One more remarked, "That could screw up his golf swing." A person wrote, "God bless the hero paying for this!!!!"

The news of the skywriting came after we reported that the former president's return has reportedly not been met with excitement by the Florida club's wealthy members. Quite the contrary. Best-selling author and journalist Laurence Leamer who wrote ‘Mar-A-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump's Presidential Palace’ told MSNBC that the mood at the resort is "dispirited," and people are canceling their memberships. "I've talked to a bunch of people the last couple of days," Leamer said. "A lot of people have quit Mar-a-Lago."

He said that members are leaving due to concerns that they might be featured in newspaper articles, adding that Trump's declining popularity has also turned off members. Leamer said, "They don't want anything to do with Donald Trump. Many of the members, they're not going there very often because it's a very dispirited place." He added, "It's a sad place for Trump to be hanging out. It's not what it was. They're walking away from him. Even here, people don't like him."

CBS News reported last week before President Joe Biden was sworn-in that the reason behind Trump's neighbors being displeased with his move back to the resort might be because of the fact that a majority of them were liberals.

"West Palm Beach, where we are right now is extremely Democratic," Palm Beach Post senior political reporter Christine Stapleton said. "Since the Capitol riots, there has been a real shift in whether or not Mar-a-Lago will continue to be a venue that GOP and conservative groups want to have their events there. They may not want to."
