Trump hates Melania's Mar-a-Lago renovations, demands new decor be removed immediately: 'He was not happy with it'

President Donald Trump is said to be upset over his wife Melania's renovations at Mar-a-Lago. He dislikes it so much that he has ordered the new decor to be ripped up. Trump is believed to be "mad" about the changes that have been made to his private quarters at his members-only club in Palm Beach, Florida, when he arrived days before Christmas, sources shared with CNN.

It is believed that Mar-a-Lago is most likely going to be Trump's residence post leaving the White House. During Trump's presidency, the Mar-a-Lago resort has been Trump's favorite place and has even been dubbed the "Winter White House". Renovations have been going on for around several weeks as the speculation mounts about where the Trump family will go after exiting the White House. 

The apartment at Mar-a-Lago is said to feature separate bedrooms, living rooms and offices for both Trump and Melania. However, the renovations have not been approved by Trump and are not to his liking as he asked for the white marble and dark wood to be removed, sources revealed. 

The source shared, "He was not happy with it" before adding that Trump seemed to appear "moody" and had been spending more time behind closed doors at the club. Another source added, "The vibe is off." 

The renovations had been overseen by Melania and her interior designer Tham Kannalikham. Sources spoke to PEOPLE and said that the apartment was to be "expanded and spruced up". The source added, "They are definitely renovating his apartment within the Mar-a-Lago Club to make it larger, more modern and comfortable for his use."

It is reported that Trump is not just displeased with the renovations in the living area but also the changes to the rest of the property. Many social media users have commented on the news of Trump's disapproval of the renovations and have slammed him for the same. One such user had shared, "'not a surprise from someone TRASHY, right?" Another user added, "@realDonaldTrump the biggest loser of 2020." 

Yet another commented and said, "@realDonaldTrump LMAO He didn't like the first wife running the Hotel business either. Got pissed because SHE did better than him. He wouldn't have anything without the first wife's help back in the '80s."

"@realDonaldTrump is unhappy about the renovations @ mar-a-logo more because he is being kicked out of the White House, and living in a ~2000 sq. ft. apt. He will have a legal battle to live there permanently. Which he'll lose...kinda like election legal battles. YOU'RE FIRED," another wrote. 

Yet another chimed in, "Well now he knows how some of us feel about her renovations at the White House Rose Garden. She may enjoy design but that doesn't mean everyone else enjoys her design ideas."

We had earlier reported that Trump and Melania have been redecorating their home at Mar-a-Lago over the past few months but it has been reported that he feels that the living space at his private club "isn't big enough" and will possibly result in conflicts. Hence, the couple is now eyeing properties along Palm Beach if reports are to be believed.
