All didn't go right for former President Donald Trump's new legal team as they addressed arguments to the "Unites State Senate" instead of "United" — the body that will try Trump on February 9 on allegations that he incited the Capitol riots on January 6 earlier this year. Five lines into the document, there was a glaring typo with the document declaring it is for 'The Honorable, the Members of the Unites States Senate..." These mistakes come on the back of the appointment of two new lawyers that were appointed on January 31.

The legal team argues that the president cannot be impeached once he leaves office. It said Trump was exercising his free speech and did not cause the riots. Twitter users, in the meantime, were trolling the legal team. "Do a typo on Twitter all the grammar police come out to clown your ass, Trump’s lawyer misspelling “United States” No way he’s getting off easy," read one of the tweets. This was seconded by another who said: "Donald Trump’s lawyers are so terrible that his impeachment defense brief is full of typos including the misspelling of UNITED STATES. @maddow #TrumpCrimeSyndicate."

"Trump's Impeachment Lawyers: *Misspells United States Senate as Unites States Senate* The word "Unites": *Clearly underlined in gray as a misspelling error* Trump's Impeachment Lawyers: Don't worry Mr. Trump, those dems won't know what's coming" mocked one of the people.

Some opined this was on purpose. "I think trump’s new lawyers are sabotaging him because that brief cannot be for real. It’s too on the nose. I mean, misspelling “Unites States” on the first page?! The arguments are weak af too. I guess he’s getting his money’s worth. This should be fun to watch," a user tweeted.

This was not the first time such errors have popped up. During his administration, a similar incident during the election results was observed where lawyers goofed on basic composition and spelling. District was reportedly spelled "DISTRCOICT."

The 74-year-old was impeached for a second time last month on one charge of "incitement of insurrection." This came in the aftermath where he delivered an angry speech about his 2020 election loss and encouraged disgruntled pro-Trump supporters to march to the U.S. Capitol building. It resulted in chaos and deaths with rioters still being arrested.

Per a People report, "It is impossible to imagine the events of January 6 occurring without President Trump creating a powder keg, striking a match, and then seeking personal advantage from the ensuing havoc," the House impeachment managers added. Reports suggest that Trump has been considering running again in 2024 which would make him the oldest president if he is re-elected. However, many social media users are not on board with Trump's decision to run for the presidency in 2024.
