President Donald Trump has, for the time since his projected election loss to Joe Biden, signaled that this democratic rival might have "won" the 2020 presidential election. This comes as Trump continues to insist the election was "rigged" against him, stressing once again how this acknowledgment shouldn't be seen as him conceding.

"He won because the Election was Rigged," Trump tweeted, responding to a monologue on Fox News' 'Watters' World'. Trump's tweet comes eight days after publications and social media both called the election in favor of Biden and named him the projected winner.

Both Trump and his allies are yet to concede and continue to file lawsuits and charge up litigation to cite voter fraud in this year's election, demanding a number of ballots and votes be excluded from the official count.

Trump's latest tweet hinting at Biden's win immediately caught traction on Twitter, with people speculating whether this was the sitting president's own special way to concede to the president-elect. "Did a just wake up to Trump's version of a concession?" journalist Yashar Ali tweeted. Twitter however quickly flagged his tweet with the label, "This claim about election fraud is disputed" — something that most of Trump's tweets claiming election fraud are being flagged with by the platform.

Trump was quick to clarify his words too. He soon followed up his tweets saying Biden "only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA." He added: "I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go." This comes a short week after Biden called Trump's refusal to concede an "embarrassment". Biden's remarks also added that this response will harm "the president’s legacy".

It is worth noting that in the last couple of days, courts have rejected appeals to block out ballots that arrived after Election Day in Pennsylvania. A Michigan judge also refused to stop certifying results after Trump supporters claimed Detroit had committed fraud with absentee ballots. An Arizona judge too had to dismiss a Trump campaign lawsuit seeking inspection of ballots citing that the number at issue wouldn't change the outcome of the votes.

Yet, Trump continues to refuse to concede with this recent tweet and social media is having none of that. "If anything is fake it's you," replied a Twitter user to the President's tweet.

Another quipped: "Not fair changing your message. I thought I would have a good night's sleep. In about 2 months our #PresidentBiden will take command. Donald, please send in a change of address. Please hurry cuz the mail is really slow lately. PS: You cannot take the silver with you." A third simply reminded the president "Joe Biden will be your president."

Trump's supporters poured in with the message of hanging tight in there. One of them tweeted "Hang in there bud. I'm still wearing my Trump 20/20 hat and mask. I won't give up till you give up. Don't give up!" Another wrote: "Hold firm and keep going, don't give an inch Mr. President these are tyrants waiting to get into power."
