Trump trolled for introducing Lil Pump as 'Lil Pimp' at Michigan rally, Internet calls it 'Freudian slip'
In his final campaign rally before the election day in Grand Rapids, Michigan, President Donald Trump introduced one of his rare celebrity supporters — rapper Lil Pump — by warping his name and calling him "Lil Pimp" on the first try.
In a clip uploaded by Vox reporter Aaron Rupar, Trump can be seen amping up the crowd before the rapper walked on stage. "I love your sound, I love your music, and speaking of sound, music and other things, one of the big superstars of the world, Lil Pimp! There he is. How's it going? Do you wanna come up and say something? Come on, Lil Pump, come on up here. Does everyone know who he is? Do you know how big he is?" Trump said.
As the rapper made his way up the stairs toward the stage, Trump noticed that he was wearing a red MAGA hat. "That's a nice hat. Come on, say something," Trump said. After Lil Pump took the microphone and Trump stepped aside. The musician delivered a short speech touting the achievements of the president. "Hello everybody, how you guys feeling?" he said to loud cheers from the crowd. "I've come here to say Mr President I appreciate everything you've done for our country. You brought the troops home and you're doing the right thing. MAGA 202020. Don't forget that. And do not vote for Sleepy Joe at all."

After Lil Pump ended his speech, he walked over to Trump to shake his hand before walking down the stairs. The camera stays on Trump as the rapper exits the frame. Trump is seen telling the musician to be careful on the stairs before he was seen visibly gasping and then eventually smiling, suggesting that Lil Pump might have come close to tripping on his way down.
Trump's goof-up did not go unnoticed on social media and the users soon started mocking POTUS. "Comedy gold! #SuperSpreader is quite the worst standup comic ever but even a blind pig finds an acorn sometimes... #VoteBlueToEndTheNightmare #VoteBiden," one user wrote, while another commented, "A Freudian Slip is when someone means to say something but accidentally says something else, which reflects their true thoughts or opinions."
A third had difficulty remember who the rapper was. "I have no idea who Lil Pimp/Pump is. Is he really a 'superstar'?" the user asked. In a similar vein, another commented, "Those people had no clue who he was! I wouldn't know him if he came and knocked on my door!" The next said, "It's a bit like the Titanic going down while the band plays the Benny Hill theme." Someone else wrote, "With a stage name like that the mispronunciation was bound to happen." And one other user remarked, "Hey ease up Twitter, honest mistake there. I think when Trump called on 'Lil Pimp', he thought Giuliani was going to join him on-stage."

A Freudian Slip is when someone means to say something but accidently says something else, which reflects their true thoughts or opinions.

We previously reported that Lil Pump showed his support for Trump by sharing a picture of himself with the president on his Instagram account. The 20-year-old hinted that he would like to see Trump winning against Democratic nominee Joe Biden. With the photo, he wrote in the caption, "THE DAY I MET TRUMP. #trump202022020." Apart from the photo with Trump, the ‘Gucci Gang’ singer also uploaded an expletive-laden video on the social media platform where he extended his support to the POTUS while giving reasons for not backing the former vice president. "All I gotta say is Trump 2020 b***h. F**k I look like paying a extra 33 is tax for Biden, b***** ass —. F**k sleepy Joe — Trump 2020 b****,” he stated.
