Trump won't run for presidency in 2024 as 'he’ll be in prison’, claims niece Mary: 'It's a face-saving ploy'

'I'm sorry. I honestly think that's a face-saving ploy. It's so absurd that he actually thinks he's gonna be able to run a campaign from prison. Maybe he could. I don't know,' said Mary

The election anxiety is still rampaging the United States and with former Vice President Joe Biden inching closer to a victory, President Donald Trump's behavior has been the center of attention. While Trump supporters worry about the battleground states favoring Biden, it has been reported that POTUS's aides are already speaking about the president running again in 2024, should he lose this year's election. However, Biden supporters and even Mary Trump, the presidents' estranged niece, don't think that Trump would make it to 2024. In fact, she said her uncle won't be able to run four years from now, because "he'll be in prison."

According to The US Sun, Mary made these comments a day before Pennsylvania and Georgia showcased a Biden lead on Friday, allowing him to be a lot closer to winning the race to the White House. POTUS's niece went on The Dean Obeidallah Show on Thursday and when asked about the claims that her uncle would run in 2024 if he loses the 2020 US Presidential Election, she said laughing, "I'm sorry. I honestly think that's a face-saving ploy. It's so absurd that he actually thinks he's gonna be able to run a campaign from prison. Maybe he could. I don't know."

In a report on CNN on November 5, White House correspondent Jim Acosta said, "There are some aides and advisers who are starting to talk about the potential not only that the president may lose some sort of election, but that he may mount some sort of resurrection run in 2024." Even White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said he could see Trump running for president in 2024 saying to the Dublin think tank Institute for International and European Affairs, "I would absolutely expect the president to stay involved in politics and would absolutely put him on the shortlist of people who are likely to run in 2024." He added that Trump would be "further engaged in 2024 or 2028 if he were to lose this next election." According to The US Sun, in addition to Acosta and Mulvaney, former communications director for the president's transition team, Bryan Lanza has revealed that Trump would run for president in 4 years.

Before the election, there was a lot of speculation about Biden's health and rumors wondering if he was healthy enough to run for president. But Mary gave the public some insight on the possibility of Trump not being in "good health to run another term." Pointing out that her uncle would be 78 in 2024, Mary said, "He has a horrible diet, he doesn't sleep, he's addicted to caffeine, he doesn't exercise, and he's like well on his way to decompensating. There's no way he will be an intact human being in four years. He's not now!"

This is not the first time Mary has been skeptical of her uncle. Most famously, she critically analyzed why Trump is the way he is in her book titled, 'Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.' This is not to say that Mary didn't bear the consequences of labeling her uncle the "World’s Most Dangerous Man," as in fact she was faced with attempted lawsuits after her book was published.

Most recently, Biden faced victory as he took the leads in Georgia and Pennsylvania. This is after Trump claimed an "early victory" on Wednesday even though many ballots were not counted at that time. Since then, the president and his team have claimed "voter fraud" and even gone ahead with lawsuits when it came to certain states.
