Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman have  finally shared an update on 'Zootopia 3'

Since its release on November 28, 'Zootopia 2' has taken theaters by storm. Disney's new animated film, which features Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Shakira, Idris Elba, Don Lake, Bonnie Hunt, Alan Tudyk, Nate Torrence, and Jenny Slate in pivotal roles, broke several box office records in its opening weekend. And currently, many fans are left wondering whether 'Zootopia 3' will happen or not. According to a report by Forbes magazine, 'Zootopia 3’ will most likely receive a green signal from Walt Disney soon. During a recent interview with Collider, 'Zootopia 2' stars Bateman and Goodwin teased the third instalment of the beloved animated franchise. 

During the interview, Bateman and Goodwin were asked, "How can you not do a third one immediately?" In her response, Goodwin said, "I agree. I don't think it would be as long. Hopefully. I don't know. We're getting up there." On the other hand, in his response, Bateman said, "Do you mean the run time of it or the wait to do it?" Goodwin interrupted her 'Zootopia' co-star mid-sentence, and said, "No, no, no, no, the wait to do the next one. I don't know how much older they'd want us to be getting. I mean, we look amazing."

Bateman further added, "As long as our voices didn’t age that much." At the time of writing this article, Disney had not made any official announcements about 'Zootopia 3'. However, makers of the film teased fans with a post-credits scene at the end of 'Zootopia 2' that potentially sets up another sequel, introducing a new group of animals who could cause trouble for Judy and Nick. Speaking candidly about the scene, Goodwin shared, "A lot of people didn’t see the tease." 

According to a report by ScreenRant, Disney subtly dropped hints about a third ‘Zootopia’ movie in the 'Zootopia 2' post-credit scene. At the end of the movie, Judy can be seen in her apartment with her carrot-shaped recorder, which she sets on the windowsill. As soon as Judy turns around, a bird feather falls on the windowsill. The scene appears to suggest that 'Zootopia 3' will be introducing the birds, who have been absent from this world, to this franchise.
