'Doctor Who' is going full steam ahead into its fourth season, and although the third episode may have missed the mark with its climate change narrative, we're hoping that the fourth episode fares much better.

For one, the episode will feature Croatian-American actor Goran Višnjić as Nikola Tesla. This won't be Višnjić's first time on a timey-wimey show. He previously played Garcia Flynn — the villain-turned-hero on NBC's hit show, 'Timeless'.

This time, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and her companions, Yaz (Mandip Gill), Ryan (Tosin Cole) and Graham (Bradley Walsh) travel to the United States of America in 1903, or as the Doctor says, the "gilded age" — a period known for transformation in the economy, technology, government, and social customs of America.

On the edge of the Niagara Falls, something is wrong at Tesla's generator plant. Here's a little bit of history — this plant opened in 1895 and was the first large-scale hydro-electric power plant. It was built by George Westinghouse and Tesla.

Back to 'Doctor Who', the Doctor will learn that someone, or rather, something is sabotaging the plant. The question is, is this something just an alien interference, or could his great rival, Thomas Edison, have something to do with this?

Again, there is a little bit of history here. The names of these inventors are associated with the 'War of the Currents' when Edison competed against Tesla and Westinghouse in introducing electric power transmission systems in the late 1880s and early 1890s.

But here's where the question of alien interference comes in. It looks like Tesla could be receiving a message from Mars. Is it real or simply a distraction tactic? Moreover, it looks like there will be some metallic scorpion-like monsters as well.

The fourth episode of 'Doctor Who', titled 'Nikola Tesla's Night of Horrors' will air on BBC America on January 19.
