Search for little Madalina Cojocari: Inside Diana Cojocari and Christopher Palmiter's whirlwind romance
CORNELIUS, NORTH CAROLINA: The missing case of Madalina Cojocari is getting complicated with each passing day. With no trace of the 11-year-old yet and her parents’ contradicting statements, police is trying to find any clue that leads them to the girl, who was last seen publicly on the evening of November 21 while she was deboarding her school bus.
The twisted case has also attracted a lot of web sleuths' attention with many trying to find the dynamics of the family, which reportedly included Madalina, her biological mother Diana Cojocari and her stepfather Christopher Palmiter. Both the mother and her husband are under arrest for not reporting the child missing for several days. The identity and whereabouts of the school girl’s biological father is not known yet.

However, as per a Romanian investigative journalist Iosefina Pascal, Diana’s “family [is] very well-known and well-connected musicians in Moldova,” WCCB Charlotte reported. The journalist then noted that “her family is traditional, Christian-orthodox values, you can tell from their imagery. Her family has the knowledge, the power, the connections, to really get involved in this.”
Pascal also went on to comment on Diana and Palmiter's relationship. WCCB Charlotte citing the reporter stated that in 2014, the mother had appeared in an Eastern European weight loss television program. “And here, a brief glimpse of her with a young child, presumably, Madalina," Pascal said, before adding, part of the TV show was filmed before Palmiter proposed to Cojocari. "They didn’t know each other before the engagement. So all of this was abrupt and sudden. You meet a guy online, he’s like 40 years older than you, he comes to Moldova, you suddenly get engaged,” the journalist added.
