Translated to 'Seventeen', 'Diecisiete' is an upcoming Netflix coming-of-age comedy-drama set to release this fall. The Spanish movie was directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo and will be perfect to watch with family. It's got all the right ingredients: teenage boy overcome with angst, dogs, road trips, and quality time spent between brothers.

Release Date

'Diecisiete' will be released on Netflix on October 18th.

Plot

'Diecisiete' follows a seventeen-year-old boy, Héctor, who has been at a youth detention center for two years. As part of reintegration therapy, he is sent to an animal rescue center, where he befriends Oveja, a dog as shy and elusive as he is.

When the dog, Oveja, is adopted, Héctor runs away to find him. His elder brother Ismael accompanies him as he doesn't want Héctor to get in trouble. Héctor is two days away from turning 18 and if caught after that, he will be sent to jail instead of the reformatory.
