JASPER, CANADA: 'The Bachelor' Season 28 producers are facing criticism for orchestrating a Polar Plunge date for Joey Graziadei, an event involving participants entering ice-cold water.

Joey appeared visibly hesitant about entering the water, fueling speculation among viewers that the producers might have pressured him into the scene. It appeared as though Joey and Kelsey Anderson were instructed to stay in the water longer, likely to capture the perfect shot for the scene.

As their one-on-one date began, numerous people surrounded the couple, posing challenges for the cameramen to get the ideal shot. Eventually, others exited the water, leaving only Joey and Kelsey behind for the scene. Viewers label the producers as "evil" for keeping the couple in the cold water for an extended period.

Seeing producers allegedly manipulate the star, a fan on X said, "The producers making Joey and Kelsey stay in the water until everybody else got out so they could get the shot." "Producers are evil' for almost suffocating our bachelor among other things," another claimed.

"Producers including multiple shots of Joey talking about being scared about getting down on one knee and getting rejected," another trolled ABC show. Another slammed the producers, "i love these weird ass ~feeling talks~ in the group that seem like they’re just saying shit when it’s clear producers are asking them these questions."

"The producers definitely made up the “Jasper Polar Plunge Palooza” fake news reporter and all lmao," posted another. A fan mocked the show by saying, "Bro the producers manipulated my perception of reality."

'The Bachelor' Season 28: Kelsey Anderson secures a hometown date

After Daisy Kent, Joey took Kelsey on a one-on-one date. Following their Polar Plunge adventure, the couple warmed up at a local sauna. Joey felt a strong connection with Kelsey after their heart-to-heart talk during the one-on-one date, leading him to save her for the hometown date.

Besides Kelsey and Daisy, Maria Georgas and Rachel Nance were also saved. 

Will Kelsey Anderson be the next Bachelorette?

Typically, ABC selects the runner-up of either of the shows, 'The Bachelor' or 'The Bachelorette,' the lead of another. If the spoilers are accurate, Kelsey is expected to be the lead in the upcoming season of 'The Bachelorette.'

Reality Steve reports that Kelsey will make it to the finale of Joey's season along with Daisy but will ultimately end up as the runner-up. In addition to speculation, fans also desire Kelsey to become the next Bachelorette.

One fan posted on X saying, 'Kelsey would make a great bachelorette too! She has such a fun and outgoing personality; she'd be great.' Another fan claimed, 'I know everyone wants Maria as the next bachelorette, but I kinda want Kelsey A if she doesn't get chosen.' 'Kelsey A for bachelorette if she isn't Joey's pick,' speculated another.

'The Bachelor' Season 28 airs episodes every Monday at 8 pm ET on ABC, and is available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
