WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES: New footage from January 6, 2021 Capitol attack showed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatening to strike Donald Trump, if he had joined those protests. The video sees Nancy admitting her actions could've landed her in prison but she would "be happy" to do so.

While speaking to Chief of Staff Terri McCullough, Nancy said, "I hope he comes, I’m going to punch him out. I’ve been waiting for this, for trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m going to punch him out." The video has been obtained by CNN.

The 82 year old added, "I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy," the Speaker added. The footage was released during the House Jan 6 Committee hearing on Thursday, October 13 and recorded by filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, the Speaker’s daughter.

Newly released video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and other congressional leadership during the breach of the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6 is played during a House select committee hearing investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in the Cannon House Office Building on October 13, 2022 in Washington, DC. The bipartisan committee, in possibly its final hearing, has been gathering evidence for almost a year related to the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol.  On January 6, 2021, supporters of former President Donald Trump attacked the U.S. Capitol Building during an attempt to disrupt a congressional vote to confirm the electoral college win for President Joe Biden.

In the clip, Nancy said, "Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House." At that time, Trump was holding a rally at the Ellipse, about two miles away from the Capitol. At the hearing, the committee, chaired by Rep Bennie Thompson said, "What Donald Trump proceeded to do after the 2020 election is something no president has done before in our country. In a staggering betrayal of his oath, Donald Trump attempted a plan that led to an attack on a pillar of our democracy. It’s still hard to believe."

He added, "But the facts and testimony are clear, consistent, and undisputed." Meanwhile, Trump, who has been critical of the committee, wrote on Truth Social, Trump, "Why didn’t the Unselect Committee ask me to testify months ago? Why did they wait until the very end, the final moments of their last meeting? Because the Committee is a total ‘BUST’ that has only served to further divide our Country which, by the way, is doing very badly."

The former president said in another social media post, "Why didn’t Crazy Nancy Pelosi call out the ‘troops’ before January 6th, which I strongly recommended that she do. It was her responsibility, but she ‘didn’t like the look.’ Crazy Nancy failed the American People!"

While speaking to Fox News Digital on Thursday, October 13, Trump blasted the committee and its investigation. He said, "The committee is a hoax, a sham, a partisan witch hunt which is a continuation of the witch hunt that has gone on since the great day for our country that I came down the golden escalator with our future first lady," adding, "They have no case, they have no ratings, so they have to try to do this to get publicity."
