Did Colette's partner leave her for Pooja?
Colette Marotto, a business entrepreneur, is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, but now lives in Laveen, Arizona with her 18-year-old son, Kelvin. As a single mother, Colette must balance her parental responsibilities with her pediatric treatment business, Wheels On The Bus.
Colette has a lot of stress in her life as a company owner and single mother of a boy with special needs, and dancing helps her to focus on herself and forget about her duties. Her pro dance partner recently left her to compete with Pooja, causing her to find a new pro, Oleksiy "Alex" Pigotskyy, and start again. Her breakup in the ballroom caused tension between the ladies and fueled Colette's desire to be further dancing successfully in order to show her former pro that she can win without him.
Kristijan Burazer worked with Colette for nearly two years before moving on to work with Pooja. "Everything was going well," Colette says, "but he just decided it'd go better with a different partner." She got partner-dumped! After his sudden change in decision, she felt 'betrayed'. It hurt her heart when he decided to "end the partnership" since she believed he cared about her. Fans will likely see Colette and her new pro-partner go up against her ex-pro-partner and Pooja on the dance floor.
Who is Colette's new partner, Alex?
Colette partnered up with Alex when he saw her distraught and offered to help. Alex's Instagram post shows him winking and having a good time. But when it comes to competition, this professional ballroom dancer, choreographer, and instructor is all business. As a result, he can brag about being a three-time United States National Dancesport champion.
Colette is thankful for Alex as she heals from her split from Kristijan. "He's a completely different dancer," she recalls, "a completely different teacher, a completely different personality." She goes on to say, "Alex is sexy."
Cha-cha your way to 'Dancing Queens', beginning Tuesday, May 9 at 9/8c on Bravo, to witness Colette and her partner take against Pooja and her partner.
