Looking for something to slow down and free your senses as we enter the middle of the week? If you are a fan of music that is both full of electronic sounds and perfect as an escapist's haven, then today's Destination Jam is just for you. Check out our top five electronic escapism songs below.

Purity Ring — 'Peacefall'

Ah, the sweet calmness that comes with peace, a state we could all do with this year and Purity Ring creates just that with this stunning track. A musical duo that already has a strong following (but certainly deserves a whole lot more attention), Purity Ring is one of the more known groups on this list and we had to get you acquainted with 'Peacefall'. From the moment you hit play on this melodic track, the rich electronics and honey-dripped vocals of Megan James will sweep you into the bliss of near-unconscious mesmerism. 'Peacefall' features on Purity Ring's new album 'WOMB' which released in March. Read our review on the LP here.

Mr Kitty — 'After Dark'

One of the more gothic-toned synth tracks in our list, Mr Kitty's 'After Dark' is not one to let you slip into a pit of sadness. In fact, it is rather soothing. Gloomy synth plays around minor chords (often used for darker or melancholic sounds), warm strings add a subtle hint of mindlessness, yet 'After Dark' is lightened and sweetened by the vocals of the chorus: "As the hours pass. I will let you know. That I need to ask. Before I'm alone. How it feels to rest. On your patient lips. To eternal bliss. I'm so glad to know. We're swaying. To drum beats. In motion. I'm feeling."

TheFatRat — 'The Calling' (featuring Laura Brehm)

For those wanting more fire in your escapism, 'The Calling' is what you need and this hot up-tempo track is spruced up by the euphoria of optimism. "Still and silent. Calm before the storm. Gold and diamond. Jewels behind the throne," chimes the opening verse before exploding into thickened layers of digital sounds. If dancing or slipping on a pair of earphones is how you enjoy your music, then this EDM number blends both aspects perfectly. Watch the official lyric video below.

Bronson — 'Know Me' (featuring Gallant)

Bronson certainly falls in the category of need-to-know underrated groups. This Australian-American electronic dance music trio released their new single 'Know Me' earlier this month, which features on their self-titled album. 'Know Me' charms with a sense of empathy and face-to-face beckoning over a steady, dub-tipped electronica beat and ambient synth with lyrics such as, "'Cause I know you've been losing sleep at night, at night. Even though you say you're satisfied, you lied, you lied. You say you're fine, but in your mind. It's like you know me for the first time. Seeing the signs, you realize. It's like you know me for the first time."

MEMBA — 'Strider'

This beautiful track continuously mixes up tempos, glitches, scales back and booms, yet remains relaxing at its core. 'Strider' opens with a tender acoustic guitar riff and begins to alternate between themes with curious chemistry of electronic layers. Fusing elements of trap, deep house and UK garage, MEMBA have shown solid evidence that they push above and beyond with their single 'Strider'.

Destination Jam is a daily list of songs that will keep you entertained and grooving up top in lieu of feeling drained and losing the plot. Look out for a fresh selection of great tunes from MEAWW to refresh your mood every day!
