The NBA playoffs are almost upon us and kickstarting the first round are Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. The two teams will be meeting for the second time in just over a week with the Nuggets clinching a win in double-overtime. Jazz will look for payback this time around as they will hope to draw first blood when the two sides clash. Ahead of the first scrimmage, here's a quick primer:

Time

The game is slated to start off at 1:30 pm ET on Monday, August 17.

Venue

Both teams will battle it out at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex inside Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida.

Where to watch?

The Nuggest vs Jazz game will be televised live on ESPN.

How to live stream?

NBA TV is the easiest and most preferred option. YouTube TV is the second most looked at as it provides access to ESPN, TNT, ABC and NBA TV, as well as a good amount of regional sports networks, including those linked to Fox and NBC. Priced at $64.99, it comes across as a complete package. Other options include Sling TV and fuboTV that can be availed at reasonable prices.

Pre-buzz around the game

For starters, Jazz Point guard Mike Conley will miss Monday's game due to the birth of his son. Rudy Gobert will be the cynosure of all eyes as the Jazz look for payback. Donovan Mitchell leads with 24.0 points per game and 4.3 assists per game and will be the other man to watch out for. Meanwhile, the Nuggets will be looking at center Nikola Jokic to deliver the goods. You cannot also rule off Michael Porter Jr who will be quite a handful for the Jazz.

Here's what Nuggets coach Mike Malone had to say about Porter: "Michael’s a different cat, he doesn’t get too high, doesn’t get too low,” Malone said lauding his young star. “He goes out there, he just wants to play, he wants to hoop. The guy is a gym rat."

Who will win?

Nuggets are the team touted to win the opener primarily due to their all-round strength. Plus they will be looking to take advantage of Jazz in Conley's absence. They will be taking their season confidence to the playoffs and will most likely take this one home. Who do you think will win the opening scrimmage?
