Plot
Set in a world where demons are known to terrorize the night, Tanjirō Kamado loses his entire family in a violent demon attack. With his sister as the sole survivor, Tanjirō soon learns that she has been turned into a demon. However, Nezuko is not consumed by the blood lust that demons succumb to, making her the only demon who refuses to kill, harm or feed on humans. Determined to revert her to her former human self, Tanjiro sets out on a journey to become a demon slayer, where he meets the cowardly Zenitsu Agatsuma and the wild Inosuke Hashibira.
Having completed rigorous training, the three of them join the ranks of the demon slayers, a group of vigilantes determined to end the reign of demon terror, by ending their leader, Muzan. Muzan, the main antagonist who was also responsible for the death of Tanjiro's family, is not easy to kill, seeing that he's an all-powerful demon with an ever-growing army. With his own powerful set of generals known as the six upper moons and the six lower moons, it's up to the demon slayer corps, along with their own high-ranking slayers to end his tyranny.
'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train' picks up where Season 1 of the anime left off -- Tanjiro and his friends are tasked with investigating the disappearance of 40 people aboard a train, along with the demon slayer corp fire pillar, Kyōjurō Rengoku.
It's here that they encounter Enmu, one of Muzan's six lower moons and Akaza, one of Muzan's six upper moons and one of the strongest demons alive. This encounter proves to be extremely fatal for the gang, seeing that Akaza remains undefeated.
