'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 3: Tala Ashe's portrayal of the new Zari is just as good as before

Despite the clear differences in personality, the character is still extremely endearing and Ashe's interactions with Nick Zano and Shayan Sobhian are absolutely on point

Spoiler alert for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 3 'Miss Me, Kiss Me, Love Me'

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 dropped yet another fantastic episode on February 4 with the team taking on 1940s Los Angeles, a newly-resurrected gangster with a hellfire gun, and the entire film noir genre in one amazing story.

It was an epic episode with excellent performances across the board and the notable return of one of the show's most beloved characters: Zari Tomaz (Tala Ashe).

The side-plot to this episode sees Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) and Behrad Tomaz (Shayan Sobhian) head over to Behrad's home for his father's birthday. While there, the duo meets Behrad's sister Zari who, in this timeline, is a social media star and fashion mogul.

Zari clearly has no recollection of her life before the timeline shifted at the end of the last season, which is unfortunate because Nate sort of remembers bits and pieces of his relationship with her.

She tries to use this to her advantage, trying to get Nate to tell her what Behrad has actually been doing all this time he was pretending to be in business school.

Eventually, she figures out that Nate and Behrad were present during the Heyworld incident that happened years ago (from her point of view), which leads to Behrad bringing Zari on the Waverider. So yes, 'Legends' fans, Zari is back with the team but she's not the Zari you knew.

Tala Ashe delivers a super-fun performance as the social media influencer Zari, who couldn't be more different from the old Zari.

Despite the clear differences in personality, the character is still extremely endearing and Ashe's interactions with Nick Zano and Shayan Sobhian are absolutely on point. We can't wait to see how her story plays out in the episodes to come.

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 airs new episodes every Tuesday at 9 pm on The CW.
