WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES: 'Dog's Most Wanted' star David Robinson died Wednesday, November 30, during a work-related Zoom call, his wife Brooke Robinson confirmed. Just five days after the sad news reached the masses, the DailyMail reports that a few who were close to him were robbed of the opportunity to see the 50-year-old in his final moments.

The eldest daughter of bounty hunter Mercedes Robinson Sutton has claimed that her father's second wife, Brooke, did everything she could to drive his family out of his life. This came after Rainy, Robinson's ex-wife, announced his death in a Facebook post. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail, Mercedes, 37, claimed that her adoptive father's wife, Brooke, was furious after seeing the post on social media and wanted it deleted. She went on to claim that Brooke "robbed" her of having one last word to say to the man who raised her.

As per the outlet, the mother-of-three requested Brooke to place the cell phone next to her father's ears which the latter refused to do. "When I talked to her as she was lying next to his dead body, I cried and I asked her to Facetime me so I could see him," she told DailyMail. "She said: 'no, I'm not going to do that to you'. I said OK and asked her for a picture. She said: 'no, I'm not going to do that to you'," she continued. "She told me she was holding his hand – I said, send me a picture of your hands. I never got it. An hour later, I called and said, is he still there with you?"

"She said, 'yes, they haven't picked him up yet'. I asked her to put the phone up to his ear so I could say some things. She said: 'I can't do this, I can't do this', and hung up the phone. I never got to see my dad – I knew he was going to be cremated. They were going to send him to the morgue before he was cremated and I knew that was the last chance to see my dad. She robbed that from me," Mercedes recounted the ordeal.

Mercedes further said that Brooke restricted her mother and Robinson's first wife Rainy from the funeral all in the heat of a social media post. "She called me two more times the day he died to call my mom to tell her to take things down from social media because she wasn't ready to announce it yet and people were calling her because of my mom. Asking my mom to do X, Y, and Z and then tell my mom she's not welcome at the funeral after what she did. She wanted me to tell my mom that on the day her husband died. Not graceful, not respectful, and extremely self-centered," she stated. "She's probably the most self-centered person in the world," Mercedes added.

Mercedes is not Robinson's biological daughter but was adopted by him after he married her mother in 1995. She further recalled the times when she "would travel around the state with him." Mercedes goes on to call herself a "100 percent daddy's girl."

Toward the end of the interview, Mercedes said that she was not allowed to see her father for the last time before he was cremated. "I just wanted to see his body because I knew he was going to be cremated and I knew that was always his wish. She robbed me of that because she couldn't fathom… I said, don't even send me the picture because I can see that could be morbid and she doesn't want to hurt me." She confirmed that Brooke did not put the mobile close to Robinson's ear despite multiple requests. "But put the damn phone up to his ear. That's all you have to do. So I can say something to him without you being in the middle. But she had to be in the middle."

Finally, Mercedes stated that Brooke's "defensive" behavior may have been a result of "squabbling and disagreements" with her mother. "There are boundaries within every relationship and you don't have to go above and beyond to put a wedge between me and my dad. She was really good at that so bravo to her. I hope she lives with what has transpired for the rest of her life," she concluded.
