David Martin: NYC man, 32, seriously injured after unidentified suspect shoves him onto subway tracks
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK CITY: In a recent horrifying incident, David Martin, 32, was shoved onto the subway tracks on Friday afternoon, October 21, 2022, which led to his fractured collarbone. Now, police have released the footage of the culprit, showing him standing on one side of the platform with his arms folded eyeing his target, the New York Post reported.
According to Yahoo!, when the victim was waiting for a Manhattan-bound L train at the Myrtle-Wyckoff station at around 2.40 pm on October 21, the man rushed towards him, and knocked him off the platform, and onto the tracks. As per the reports, the victim was injured but wasn’t hit by a train, cops said. Speaking over the incident, a transit worker said that the man had hurt his shoulder. "He was just in shock that it happened to him. It’s not like he had a confrontation with the person or they were arguing or anything. It was just a random shove. He just got shoved into the tracks — that’s what he said. This guy pushed him into the tracks,” the worker told the New York Post.

Spike in attacks on NYC subways
In April 2022, an anti-gay attack on the subway left a 22-year-old in the hospital after he was brutally beaten. The victim was riding the A-train near 190th street in Manhattan on the afternoon of March 19, 2022. Similarly, out of the half-dozen incidents of people being knocked onto city subway tracks since Christmas Eve, five have occurred since the start of 2022, NYPD data showed, according to a report by the Daily News.
