David Guetta has announced a new EP 'New Rave' on social media today (July 12). The new project is a collaborative effort with Danish DJ Morten and it arrives on July 17.

"Guys!!! @mortenofficial & I are releasing an EP. #NewRave is coming on Friday," Guetta wrote on Instagram alongside a picture he shared of the cover art. Challenging loyal fans, he added, "Guess which songs we’ve included?? Let’s see (who) really knows our sets and IDs."

The announcement follows a teaser the Grammy-winning French DJ posted on Instagram for one of the EP's tracks. The teaser reveals the song 'Kill Me Slow' with a video of Guetta and Morten recording from their homes while under quarantine. In the clip we see Guetta playing an electrifying buzzy groove on synth and Morten with his laptop. A fan has already declared the track a "HIT!" and we have to agree.

Excited fans have shared their reactions to the upcoming EP, saying, "New movement incoming" and "can't wait." DJs from Mars, who are known for their musical mashups of popular songs, have also reacted to the EP announcement, saying, "Only BANGERS for sure!!."

Based on an initial teaser of 'New Rave', where Guetta shared a text convo between him and Morten coming up with the idea for the EP, it looks like the EP will contain four tracks.

'New Rave' will be the first EP that Guetta has released in six years, following 2014's 'Lovers on the Sun'. Apart from his EPs, Guetta has done numerous projects since his debut in 2001 including full-length studio albums, reissues, compilation albums, box sets and a multitude of singles with many of them as collaborations with renowned artists such as Nicki Minaj, Anne-Marie, Sia, and more.

For Morten, 'New Rave' will mark his first EP and follows his previous collaboration with Guetta 'Detroit 3 AM' which released in March. Morten's studio album 'Nightclub Session' released in 2010.
