CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) has finally returned to his reality and is trying to reclaim his original life with Daniela (Jennifer Connelly) and Charlie Dessen (Oakes Fegley) in 'Dark Matter' Episode 8.
The sci-fi series, streaming on Apple TV+, has been an immersive watch since it made its debut on May 8.
Spread across nine episodes, creator Blake Crouch introduces the concept of multiverse to tell a fantastical story of a Physics professor who is abducted by his alternate self and is sent to a parallel reality.
Drama and thrill intensifies in Episode 8 as the series inches closer to a conclusion.
When will 'Dark Matter' Episode 9 release?
After some explosive confrontations and revelations in 'Dark Matter' Episode 8, fans have been eagerly awaiting for the finale episode.
The series will conclude with Episode 9, scheduled to stream next Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
The episode is titled 'Entanglement' and will have a run time of 58 minutes.
What happened in 'Dark Matter' Episode 8?
In 'Dark Matter' Episode 8, Jason 1 discovers that multiple Jasons have arrived in Reality 1.
These Jasons were created after he was abducted and made divergent choices thereafter. Jason 1 and Jason 3 meet in a bar and plan to take down Jason 2. However, Jason 3 subtly threatens Jason 1 that he would do anything to be with his wife and son.
Meanwhile, Jason 3 follows Jason 2 and eventually gets killed in a violent altercation at college campus.
Jason 1 pulls off a smart tactic to reach Daniela. He gets himself arrested and calls Daniela to the police station. He explains everything that happened to him and manages to convince that he is her real Jason.
They decide a code word and Daniela heads home to get Charlie.
Upon reaching home, Jason 2 tells that they need to leave the town immediately. Daniela leads Jason 2 to the basement and locks him.
She elopes with Charlie and meets Jason on the road only to discover that it isn't Jason 1. Daniela manages to evade this Jason and finally meets Jason 1 who knows the code word.
What to expect in 'Dark Matter' Episode 9?
Even though Jason 1 has reunited with his wife and son, his troubles haven't ended. He will not only have to fight Jason 2 but many other versions of himself trying to get to Daniela and Charlie.
At this point, we are not even sure if he is actually Jason 1 or another version of him that was created after the abduction.
It will be intriguing to see the confrontation between all these Jason and which Jason will eventually get to be with Daniela and Charlie of Reality 1.
