Daniel Morcombe's parents face another NIGHTMARE as creepy pedo targets 6-year-old grandson
SUNSHINE COAST, AUSTRALIA: Daniel Morcombe's parents have spoken up about how their six-year-old grandson was recently the target of an online "pedophile" in a horrifying incident that reopened old scars. Winston was playing Roblox on his iPad in the backseat of their vehicle when he said that a man had been messaging him.
The pair, who now devote their lives to ensuring the protection of children, had suspicions right away. "Winston said Nana, Pa, this person knows my name. We just looked at each other and said Oh okay," Denise Morcombe said. "That doesn't sound great," Bruce Morcombe added. "That smells like a pedophile online trying to groom Winston and we were pretty frightened."

'Stop contacting kids you online creep'
As per The Daily Mail, they looked over the chat history and saw that the man had volunteered to help Daniel's nephew get better at gaming. Although it could appear innocent at first glance, the Morcombes claim that this is frequently a standard grooming technique employed by sex predators to acquire confidence.
The couple recorded the chat history on their computer, blacklisted the person, and called the police. They additionally messaged the user, "Stop contacting kids you online creep". Morcombe cautions parents against forbidding their children from playing online despite the experience their grandson had while playing the game, which was played by millions of Australian children. "Don't take the ipad away from them it's not their fault."
Daniel Morcombe was kidnapped by a pedophile in 2003
The incident served as a painful reminder of the parents' nightmarish experience from 20 years ago, when Daniel, then 13 years old, vanished after leaving his Sunshine Coast home on December 7, 2003, to shop for Christmas presents for his family at a nearby shopping center. Denise and Bruce worked tirelessly for years to keep the missing person inquiry open prior to his killer's arrest in 2011. Since their son vanished, they have dedicated their lives to teaching kids about safety through a foundation they established in his honor.
Daniel’s Law is gathering momentum. This is a win for parents, carers and importantly our precious children.

Serial child molester Brett Peter Cowan, then 34, kidnapped Daniel while he was waiting for the bus, and took him to an abandoned house where he was molested before being murdered. One of the largest missing persons investigations in Australian history was launched after his disappearance, and it culminated in Cowan's capture eight years later. In 2014, he was given a life term in Brisbane's Wolston Correctional Institution, with a 20-year minimum non-parole period.
