'No Time to Die': Why does it make sense to retain Daniel Craig's James Bond traits in his final outing?

According to recent news, Daniel Craig signed off from the Bond franchise with its latest release of 2021, 'No Time to Die'. Ever since, talks of popular actors like Tom Hardy, Rege-Jean Page, Henry Cavill and Idris Elba have been going on to narrow down on possible prospects for the upcoming films of the franchise. It is confirmed that 'No Time to Die' really was Craig's fifth and final role, playing the lead, and so the lookout for a befitting replacement is still on.

Having said that, a couple of casting decisions question who will be the next 007. Many expect that a Black or even a female Bond will be a fresh take on the series of movies.

Craig's character in the franchise was a humble attempt to toughen up Bond after Her Majesty's senior and top agent was threatened, and so was an instant hit in both 'Casino Royale' and 'Skyfall', titled the two best Bond films of all time, whilst returning the main character to the likes and style of the original novels by Ian Fleming.

Here's what fans have to say about the latest news. One fan said, "This. Man. My heart is broken that he will never be 007 again. #NoTimeToDie #jamesbond ", while another shared, "I'm all for bringing #JamesBond into the modern world, but if Daniel Craig really is done with the role please don't try to gender bend a historically womanizing, hypermasculine alcoholic. Female action leads deserve an original script and Bond deserves a 2020s character update". One fan tweeted, "Daniel Craig is the BEST James Bond!! Change my mind #JamesBond", while another said, "Think that might be the first James Bond I have shed a tear at #NoTimeToDie #JamesBond".
