'Miracle before our eyes': Damar Hamlin set to head home after being discharged from Buffalo hospital
BUFFALO, NEW YORK: Damar Hamlin was discharged on Wednesday, January 11 from a Buffalo hospital, the Buffalo Bills announced in an "amazing update". It comes after nine days after he suffered cardiac arrest during an NFL game. Damar remained in the ICU after the tragic incident. He was transferred from the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center to Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute on Monday.
Hamlin, a 24-year-old Bills safety, collapsed after making a tackle during the January 2 'Monday Night Football' game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was initially listed in critical condition as his heart had stopped and was resuscitated twice on the field before being taken to the hospital.

On Monday, January, 9 he was shifted from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center to Buffalo General Medical Center from where he has been discharged now. Hamlin will head toward home for "rehabilitation." Buffalo bills shared, "Damar Hamlin has been discharged from Buffalo General Medical Centre."

Bills' team added, "Hamlin was admitted on Monday and went through a comprehensive medical evaluation as well as a series of cardiac, neurological, and vascular testing on Tuesday." The update revealed, "Jamie Nadler, MD critical care physician and Chief Quality Officer at Kaleida Health, and care team lead for Hamlin said, "We have completed a series of tests and evaluations, and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home with the Bills."
