'Crisis on Infinite Earths': Fans get to see Tom Cavanagh's Pariah in photo of ensemble cast set to appear in battle

The image also features Iris West, The Monitor, Superman, Ryan Choi, Elongated Man/Ralph Dibny, Black Lightning, The Flash, John Diggle, and Kingdom Come Superman.

'Crisis on Infinite Earths' is currently in its production phase and fans have managed to get a first look of the heroes slated to appear in the battle. A new photo has been shared on Twitter that includes a few characters, with the most prominent of them being Tom Cavanagh suited up as Pariah. The image also features Iris West (Candice Patton), The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett), Superman (Hoechlin), Ryan Choi (Osric Chau), Elongated Man/Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), Black Lightning (Williams), Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin), John Diggle (David Ramsey), Kingdom Come Superman (Brandon Routh), and Harbinger (Audrey Marie Anderson).

The 'Crisis' will be a major crossover event set to change the future of the Arrowverse and it all began with the series premiere of 'The Flash.' The battle centers around The Anti-Monitor, a cosmic entity who destroys worlds and realities and the superheroes of the world who unite to take him down. While they ultimately do so, the battle sees a few heroes sacrifice their lives. In the comics, it is The Flash and Supergirl who perish in the battle resulting in the merging of multiple surviving worlds into one single timeline.

The 'Crisis' will also introduce a character called Pariah (Tom Cavanagh), the most brilliant scientist from an undesignated Earth in the DC multiverse. While much isn't known about the TV version of Pariah, showrunner Eric Wallace shed light on Cavanagh's character during the San Diego Comic-Con 2019. "In the original comics, Pariah is very much responsible for releasing the Anti-Monitor onto our multiverse and then more bad things happen", Wallace said. "For Tom to play such a pivotal character is not only exciting, but his interpretation that he is bringing to it is just going to tear your guts out and make you cry."

Some of his powers and abilities include being a genius and immortal (Terrible, we know), flight and teleportation. In the comics, Pariah managed to work with the heroes and put an end to the Anti-Monitor. However, his exact role in the TV version is yet to be revealed.

How crucial do you think Pariah's role is in 'Crisis'?

Here's The CW's schedule for the next big crossover:

'Supergirl' - December 8

'Batwoman' - December 9

'The Flash' - December 10

'Arrow' - January 14

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow - January 14
