MARION COUNTY, TEXAS: A Texas woman who had been missing for many days was found inside a Jeep that had crashed into a lake and was almost entirely submerged. Marion County Sheriff's Office claimed that the unidentified woman went missing from Longview and was found inside the black car in Lake o' the Pines on Friday, April 7.

In pictures taken at the scene, the Jeep's hood is just barely visible above the water around 40 feet from the coast. The sheriff's office said that a fisherman notified authorities of the vehicle in the morning. Police arrived at the scene around 18 minutes later after waiting for a local wrecking crew to arrive. The police and the wrecking crew were using the fisherman's boat to tow the vehicle when they noticed someone was inside and moving.

Captain Chuck Rogers stated, "We do not know how long the Jeep was in the water," reports NPR. Deputies carried the woman on the boat and transported her to shore, where she took cover in a car while waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Later, she was brought to a hospital and her current condition is unknown.

When was the woman reported missing?

Marion County Sheriff Office said, "During the incident, it was determined the woman was listed as a missing person from the Longview Texas Police Department." Police in Longview, a city about 24 miles south-by-southwest of the lake, claimed that she had been reported missing hours earlier, at 12.35 am on Friday, April 8, according to NPR. The woman's identity is still kept confidential.

The Longview Police Department's records administrator, Melissa Dobbs, stated, "Given the details of this case, we are unable to release any information at this time." The Marion County Sheriff's Office believes the Jeep accidentally rolled into the lake. "There was nothing uncovered during the investigation to suggest this case was anything more than an accident," Rogers said.

'Didn't know jeep had a submarine feature'

Many have reacted to the incident on Twitter with one person writing, "A very lucky woman, bet it scared the shit out of the crew." Another person wrote, "Sounds like she was...off roading Hey ohhhhh!" A third person wrote, "Didn't know jeep had a submarine feature." This other person wrote, "God working hard for her." One person who thought this incident was a 'PR goldmine' for Jeep wrote, "Damn, I wonder if the marketing team at Jeep are foaming at the mouth after hearing about this PR goldmine. 'Our transmissions might be shit, but the car can double as a Texas submarine.'"
