'Crash Landing on You' takes a breather for the Lunar New Year, here's when Episode 11 will return
'Crash Landing on You' Episode 11 did not air this weekend as South Korea celebrates the Lunar New Year, a tradition that is similar to the one celebrated in China. TvN, the network which airs the show originally on Saturdays and Sundays expected to receive less viewership on January 25 and hence decided to take a short break. This is the second break that the show has taken. The first one happened when the team was unable to continue to shoot because of bad weather.
The show will now return on February 2 when Episode 11 will be aired followed by the next episode on February 3. The show's ratings skyrocketed since its premiere and it is now one of the top 5 shows to be broadcast in Korean television's history. The first episode recorded a 6.07% rating and over the first 10 episodes that were aired, the show's ratings have hit 14.6333%.
'Crash Landing on You' is also being compared to Korea's most highly rated show 'Sky Castle'. To beat the latter, the former has to hit 23.779% however, considering that Hyun Bin's show is four episodes short of the 20 that aired of 'Sky Castle', this might be difficult. It must be noted though that every 'Crash Landing on You' episode has received higher ratings than the respective 'Sky Castle' episodes.
When the show returns on February 2, we will see Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeok continue their relationship on the other side of the border. While until now Se-ri was stuck in a village in North Korea, the two of them are now in Seoul and this time around, it is Se-ri who wILL have to keep Jeong-hyeok safe as he can be captured for being a spy. It will be interesting to see how Jeong-hyeok deals with the change while also trying to trace Cheol-gang.
Cheol-gang used to be Jeong-hyeok's senior in the army who was corrupt and had many underground deals that he had orchestrated including providing a safe house for criminals from across the world. With the money that he acquired, he had many other officials in his pocket. This also helped him bury many investigations into different murders that he had committed to keeping his operation a secret.
One of the people that Cheol-gang murdered included Jeong-hyeok's brother. It is while uncovering the heinous plot that Se-ri accidentally ended up in North Korea. The two incidents get mixed up as Se-ri, in a way ends up helping Jeong-hyeok get justice for his brother. Cheol-gang ends up being sentenced for life in prison, however, his reach is farther than what Jeong-hyeok had expected and so he manages to escape. Not just that, he is now deadset on murdering Se-ri to exact revenge on Jeong-hyeok.
