WROCLAW, POLAND: Poland police have refuted the claims by Julia Wandelt, who believes that she’s Madeleine McCann, who vanished from a family vacation in Portugal in 2007. Wandelt, who also uses the surnames Wendell and Faustyna, has shared numerous posts on her Instagram, presenting apparent proof of her being the missing British girl.

However, Pawel Noga, a spokesman for the main police in Wroclaw, has said, “The investigation of the police officers of the Provincial Police Headquarters at this stage contradicts the version presented by this woman,” according to a report by Marca. Besides, Wandelt's family in Poland has reportedly presented evidence that confirms that she is not Madeleine.

'The Internet won't forget'

The 21-year-old’s relatives have stated that she has psychiatric issues and that she “lies and manipulates,” as reported by Irish Mirror. They said, “[Julia] once wanted to be a singer, a model. She always wanted to be popular. What’s happening now, is she got 1 million followers. The Internet won’t forget, and it’s obvious that Julia isn’t Maddie. We are devastated at this current situation.” The relatives also alleged that the young woman was not living with them and added that she skipped her therapy.

'You have a duty to make sure your family is safe'

This comes as Wandelt has blasted her current mother, whom she called 'suspicious.' In an Instagram post, she wrote, “If you were a real mom or a mom that raised your child, you have a duty to make sure your family is safe, secure, and well. By sending your messages to an online fan page, or saying you have a spokesman, but they can't be reached by a working phone or email to get answers is only causing more confusion and suspicion.”

Wandelt continued, “If you do really care about your daughter, whether she's your biological daughter or the one you raised, then this is a moment that she needs you most. What she needs at this moment is help. She's confused, she feels emotionally all over the place. And all she is asking for right now is one answer.”

She added, “You go to Facebook and communicate with people through a fan page instead, instead of coming to her spokesperson. Why are you making it harder at this moment for her to believe? You share a birth certificate, but you know that this is a time that she is not going to accept it, she already said she has suspicions that it may be forged. She's in severe doubt."

The 21-year-old further added, “The one thing that will easily bring an answer to everyone is for you to step out of your comfort zone and get into the bottle for DNA and get it done. Then the whole world can sleep tight tonight. Please help your daughter and help me and my team to end this crazy, messy show that has concerned people everywhere and has caused so much pain around the world.”
