Coolio's seven adult children named 'next of kin' for his estate as he died without a will
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Coolio, who died on September 28, left behind $300,000 plus wealth, which will likely be divided among his adult children. The 'Gangsta's Paradise' singer died at the age of 59 without a will, leaving no information about what he wanted to leave to whom.
The 'Fantastic Voyage' rapper's seven adult children have been named as likely beneficiaries in a probate petition filed by his former manager, along with the words "next of kin," according to a report by The Blast.
Artis Leon Ivey Jr, better known by the stage name Coolio, left behind "personal property and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies, and royalties," according to the court documents. The exact worth of the estate is yet unknown.

Coolio was cremated, as previously reported in October, and his representative reportedly informed TMZ that he had planned to have his ashes encased in jewelry for his children and other loved ones. Each of his children will be able to arrange for personalized inscriptions to be placed on the pendants that will hold the ashes.
The remainder of Coolio's ashes will be retained in an urn once the necklaces are distributed to his loved ones. Coolio's longtime partner Mimi Ivey, who had been with him since 2012, described her reaction to hearing the tragic news of his death to DailyMail. Ivey said, "I just remember all of the air and life coming out of my body. I was outside, getting ready to take my son to football practice. All I remember was dropping to my knees. I collapsed." She disclosed then that Coolio would be cremated in accordance with his own wishes and would not be having a traditional funeral.
The guest list for the cremation was so strictly controlled that some friends who had known him for decades were kept out. This precaution was taken to avert a potential argument between the moms of his children, according to a source close to Coolio. Ivey, who is an exotic dancer as well as a chef, claimed that she was aware that Coolio was seeing other ladies and that they had made a mutually agreeable arrangement. "We were best friends. We would talk about everything and joke and laugh about everything. There was never a dull moment being with him," she stated.
