Contains spoilers for 'Constellation'
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: Episode 7 of 'Constellation' has left fans scratching their heads as two realities merge into one, leaving the viewers confused. It introduces us to the theory of superimposition, a phenomena where one thing can exist in two places at the same time.
Jo Ericsson (Noomi Rapace) digs deeper into the mysterious events around her as she finds certain aspects of her life altered. Upon her visit to Marine Observatory in Denmark, she receives a few tape recordings that seems to have captured the conversations aboard ISS.
Tape recording baffles Jo Ericsson in 'Constellation'
While at the cabin in the woods, Jo settles at the table and begins listening to the tapes using the CAL data core, which miraculously eliminates the static, allowing clear audibility of the conversations.
One of the recordings captures Paul Lancaster (William Catlett) inquiring with Houston about protocols for handling a dead body, mentioning Jo's lacerations. Jo abruptly stops the tape and tells Alice they don't have to listen further.
The recording unsettles Alice (Davina Coleman and Rosie Coleman), leading her to question if her mother is still alive, as the Jo in front of her doesn't seem like her usual self.

Later in the episode, Jo frantically searches for Alice in the snowy darkness. She stumbles upon a cabin that appears similar to hers but has subtle differences. Inside, she hears Alice's voice and traces it upstairs.
Meanwhile, Alice is hiding in a closet, communicating with her alternate self from another reality through a recorder. However, at this point, when she opens the closet, she only finds the recorder and not Alice.
Jo, while driving, listens to Alice from the alternate reality on the recorder stating that her mother (Jo) is dead. This revelation shocks Jo, leaving her unsure of how to proceed.
